Do you have skin tags you want to remove? Then Laser treatment could be the solution. Arrange a FREE consultation with us today to find out more.
What are skin tags?
Skin tags are made of loose collagen fibres and blood vessels surrounded by skin. Collagen is a type of protein found throughout the body. They’re very common, harmless, and can vary in colour and size. Typically found in areas where skin repeatedly rubs against itself, such as armpits, groin, neck and eyelids.
Skin tags often get confused with warts. the NHS have provided the following information to help you distinguish between them:
- smooth and soft (warts tend to be rougher with an irregular surface)
- knobbly and hang off the skin (warts are usually slightly raised or flat)
- not contagious (warts spread very easily, so a sudden outbreak or cluster of growths is more likely to be warts)
Skin tags present no medical threat and don’t usually cause pain or discomfort. However, they can make people feel self-conscious and can hurt if caught on clothing. They can also cause issues for men when shaving.
Laser Treatment for Removal
There are various ways skin tags can be removed; one being Laser. The pixelated laser divides light into multiple fractions that go as deep as 3mm into the dermis, heating the skin from beneath and delivering a controlled dermal wound healing.
Is it safe?
